Patient Satisfaction Study

Physician Satisfaction Survey

Reduction in LOS Study

Safe and Satisfying for Patients

Johns Hopkins Hospital, UC Davis Medical Center and Eastern Virginia University, conducted a trial comparing safety and patient satisfaction with Remote Presence rounds versus standard rounds.

270 urologic surgery patients were prospectively randomized to receive either in-person or robotic rounds. Data from a survey completed post discharge evaluated patient satisfaction and morbidity-mortality events.

Multi-site Patient Satisfaction Study

Benefits of Remote Presence

 • Robotic rounds are a safe and feasible adjunct to in-person rounds.
 • Patients preferred to see their attending doctor via the Robot rather than another
    physician in person.
 • There was no statistically significant difference found in physician care, skill,
communication, awareness, personal attention, and availability.
 • No mortality events occurred and no morbidity events were related to either Robotic
    or in-person rounds.
 • Patient satisfaction scores were equivalent between robotic and in-person rounds.
