INTOUCH HEALTH SECURES $6.7 MILLION SERIES B FUNDING LED BY ACACIA VENTURE PARTNERS

Santa Barbara, CA, March 8, 2004 - InTouch Health, Inc., the leader in remote presence technology for healthcare providers, today announced the completion of a $6.7 million Series B financing. The round was led by Acacia Venture Partners, a San Francisco based venture capital firm specialized in healthcare services and healthcare I.T. investing. Acacia was joined by existing investors including InvestCare Partners, LP, a healthcare private equity fund managed by Beringea, LLC, and Twenty One East Victoria Investments, a Santa Barbara based venture investment entity established by Michael Towbes in 1999. Terms of the financing deal were not disclosed.

In conjunction with this equity financing, David Heer, managing director for Acacia Venture Partners, has joined InTouch Health's board of directors. Mr. Heer brings extensive healthcare industry experience and contacts to InTouch Health. The additional capital will be used for development of a sales and field service organization, building a manufacturing organization, and furthering product development.

Mr. Heer said, "We were attracted to InTouch Health because the management team has a very deep knowledge base in the practical application of medical robotics as demonstrated by their proven track record of success. The company addresses a fundamental issue with the healthcare system today - a growing shortage of healthcare professionals coupled with the need to provide a higher level of medical expertise at the point-of-care across the broad range of geographical and clinical settings where patients receive care. The Companion System enables the right care to be delivered at the right place at the right time."

Yulun Wang, Ph.D., chairman and CEO for InTouch Health, said, "We are very pleased with the selection of Acacia Venture Partners as the lead for our Series B financing. The Acacia team has been investing in healthcare since the early 1980's. They have a profound industry understanding with a strong focus on healthcare services and technology, and a robust network of contacts in the healthcare industry. Our Companion System is a process enhancement tool and Acacia brings extensive experience in this area."
